International student, Pre-departure checklist
Moving from one country to another is no small thing. As a student going to study abroad, you will buy a one way ticket to a country 10,000 miles away from home. It is advisable that you have a checklist when packing your bags so that you know other important things to bring along besides your personal belongings.
International student, newly arrived?
As a newly arrived student, you might find that nothing seems familiar and you might find difficulties doing or understanding things that seem easy to other people. Things like riding on public transport for the first few times, shopping in supermarkets self check outs, talking to people with a different accent. These can be intimidating but you will get better and they will seem easier with time and more practice.

If you lose yourself
You are in an adventure. You know who you are. Be open to experiences but always do things that are most true to you. But if you lose yourself, here’s a rough roadmap
Home…
Home as a physical place, where my parents live and where I grew up. As time goes by, these physical places become so many, each of them contributing significantly to who I’ve become. They are all home. However, as my experience and understanding continues to grow, my view of where home is expands. Hence, it has become more than just a physical location.
